The Estate, at the foothills of the acclaimed UNESCO Waterberg Biosphere, falls in the malaria-free area and is closer to Marken, about 70km from Ellisras/Lephalale. The perennial Palala River running through the estate has a variety of fish species and the occasional hippo sightings. There is a gravel landing strip of 920m for a fly-in. With only about 2,5 hours’ drive from Pretoria, this is the place for a perfect weekend break-away.
The Waterberg area of South Africa is described as one of the country’s best-kept secrets, and with good reason – offering vast, peaceful and beautiful scenery. The region is a fascinating destination with a rich cultural legacy and heritage coupled with a natural splendour that is particularly appealing to those in need of a place to unwind.
The Estate offers sightings of some of Africa’s most magnificent creatures like rhino, buffalo, leopard
and sable, with a 1,200-hectare conservation area and another 800-hectare, set aside specifically for the breeding of rare game species.
